easy to assemble, it wasn't too hard. It feels sturdy when I'm on it and I am # 190. He was just sick soft fuzzy on pads for the bottom. We just put a double mattress on it without the box spring so I just put the tape over the screws so you don't tear the mattress bottom. so far so good. only update if something goes wrong with it
